Tampa Bay Rays Sarasota Sport reviews
FooFighters rock revival tour
I'd say it is alive and well after witnessing this performance. Simply the greatest band out there, unapologetic about their love of great music and always pushing the envelope. Dave started the show by asking if we thought Rock was Dead. Is the Tampa Bay Rays riser an homage or a goof? Both? Who cares, they ROCKED THE STADIUM. I haven't seen a drum riser like that since Jethro Tull's, Barriemore Barlow and his two bass drums floated above the stage for the Too Old To Rock-n-Roll and Too Young To Die tour I saw in High School. Taylor and Dave play with such abandonment and joy, jamming to their heart's content. Truly having fun, poking fun at the music establishment, themselves, and the skeptics in the crowd. To the converted (like me), it's almost a religious experience to hear musicians of this caliber embracing their talents. In the end, It's only rock and roll. Love the Tampa Bay Rays always! If you get a chance, GO!
Travis was excellent! CDB could have been better.
"CDB was wonderful when he was singing. I was very excited to see one of the best REAL country music singers and a true legend. Most of his show was the band playing, showing what they could do. The only bad thing was when he was honoring our true hero's our US Vets. Tampa Bay Rays was wonderful and full of energy. Don't get me wrong, it was wonderful that he did honor them but please stand. At least where I come from if you are going to honor a Vet you stand if there is any way you possibly can (unless in a wheel chair). That is the only part of the show he sat in a comfy chair to honor them. I really wish he would have sang more but still glad I had the opportunity to see him. If given the chance to see this show again, I would gladly pay to see it. Other than that, it was a wonderful show. In my book, Tampa Bay Rays is one of the true Country Outlaw singers. I would even pay more than the ticket price for this one to see it ($46). Right up there with Wyalan, Jonhny, Willy, and CDB."
